YONEX Players Give Their Thanks to the Stringing Team

The YONEX Stringing Team has been toiling away day in and day out providing speedy and high quality stringing service at the 2016 Australian Open. To express their thanks for the stringers’ hard work, members of Team YONEX made their way to the YONEX Stringing Room to decorate the team’s PROTECH8 machines with their autographs.

Pictured are Daria Gavrilova (EZONE DR 100, POLYTOUR 125), Belinda Bencic (EZONE DR 100, POLYTOUR PRO 125) and Pierre-Hugues Herbert (VCORE Duel G 97, POLYTOUR FIRE 125) signing the machines with brilliant smiles on their faces.

Of these three players, Pierre-Hugues has started using the new POLYTOUR FIRE 125 as of this season. “It’s a good string—it has a great feel and gives me lots of speed,” commented the Frenchman. Pierre-Hugues and Nicolas Mahut are the No. 6 men’s doubles seeds, and head into round 2 on Saturday. Keep your eyes out for his red string!

Birthday in the Stringing Team

Brazilian stringer Ricardo Dipold celebrated his birthday this past Saturday with the YONEX Stringing Team. While the cake was delicious, Ricardo’s birthday happened to fall on the day before the main draw, so everyone returned to work with haste. Ricardo would end up eating more than few servings of his birthday cake.
