Paired with India’s Sania Mirza in ladies’ doubles, the Swiss-Indian duo demonstrated excellent performance throughout the tournament, seizing every single one of their matches until the final without dropping a set. Against American duo Raquel Kops-Jones and Abigail Spears in the semifinal, the pair confidentially secured a 6-1, 6-2 victory in under an hour, without being broken once or committing a single unforced error.
The final match placed No. 1 seeds against No. 2 seeds; Martina and Sania overcoming Russian rivals Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina in an exceedingly tense match. The duo dropped the first set at a very slim margin, coming back to secure the second after a tight tiebreaker, Martina smacking a backhand winner up the line, with her partner sealing the set with a forehand winner. The final set saw the Russian pair lead at 5-2, but Martina and Sania grabbed successive winners at the net to level 5-5. The pair then broke to lead 6-5, leading to Martina serving for the winning game—a serve that proved too potent for the Russian opposition. Martina and Sania won the title with a final score of 5-7, 7-6(4), 7-5.
Martina and partner Leander Paes dominated in the mixed doubles tournament, not dropping a single set on their road to victory. After securing a comfortable 6-3, 6-4 win over American duo Mike Bryan and Bethanie Mattek-Sands, Martina and Leander met up with Alexander Peya and Timea Babos in a stunning final. The pair broke twice in the first set to seize it in 19 minutes, proceeding to rush up to a 6-1, 4-0 lead in set 2. The pair refused their opponents a chance to break, with zero double faults or unforced errors committed to close the match at 6-1, 6-1 in just 40 minutes.
