Naomi into Round 2 in US Open Debut
Naomi Osaka (EZONE DR 98, POLYTOUR PRO 130/TOUR SUPER 850) has broken into the second round in her US Open main-draw debut against CoCo Vandeweghe (EZONE DR 98). The aggressive 18-year-old boasted her trademark power at the baseline, excelling on the court with explosive shots. She made a strong comeback after dropping a tight opening game, securing nine aces and four break points en route to her 6-7(4), 6-3, 6-4 win.
Fellow member of team EZONE Belinda Bencic (EZONE DR 100, POLYTOUR PRO 125) also made it into the second round, grabbing a 6-7(6), 6-3, 6-4 win over local Samantha Crawford. The young Swiss made a strong comeback after an absence from the tour, persevering in the summer heat. The Swiss played a cleaner game with fewer errors than her opponent, breaking her seven times to move into the next round.

Angelique Kerber (VCORE Si 100, POLYTOUR FIRE 120) has a strong round 1 win under her belt on Day 1 of the US Open, defeating Polona Hercog.
