The 6th-Generation EZONE: Powerful with a Plush Feel

TOKYO — Yonex Co., Ltd. is proud to announce the launch of the 6th-generation EZONE racquet on Jan. 18, 2020. With a focus on easy power and unmatched comfort, the EZONE series features the largest sweet spot1 in Yonex history through ISOMETRICTM expansion and was developed for players of all levels.

Developed over 30 years ago, the square-shaped ISOMETRICTM racquet head generates a larger sweet spot by optimizing the intersection of the main and cross strings to deliver greater control without sacrificing power.

The new EZONE is able to achieve optimal power and comfort through new cross sections, a precise frame design that is wider at the 3 and 9 o’clock positions, and Vibration Dampening Mesh (VDM) in the grip to filter unwanted vibrations. By varying the angles of the aero-shaped frame, the frame has a plush, more comfortable feel at impact.

Liner Tech is incorporated throughout the racquet to optimize power and control. By drilling straight into the frame’s structure, string is elongated and rests flush against the grommets. This unique approach results in the center being denser for added control, while the outer areas are wider for more power and comfort.

A first in the sporting goods industry, M40X2 - high strength, high elastic graphite - is added in the throat to improve frame stability and flex.

The desirable combination of power and flex with a plush feel is achieved, resulting in 2.5% more ball speed and 7.9% more shock absorption1.

Two-time Grand Slam Champion Naomi Osaka (JPN) and Nick Kyrgios (AUS) will debut the EZONE in early-January to begin their 2020 season.

INNOVATION

ISOMETRICTM Expansion
Enhanced Sweet Spot
A new frame shape that is wider at the 3 and 9 o’clock positions creates the largest sweet spot in EZONE history.

New Aero-Shaped Frame
For a plush, comfortable feel
By varying the outer angle of the aero-shaped frame, the middle and upper hoop are plush, while the lower hoop is stable.

M40X
Power with a more flexible frame
A strong, elastic graphite is added in the throat to improve frame stability and flex.

Oval Pressed Shaft (OPS)
Increased spin and control
Shaft corners are rounded for an ideal flex at impact to increase dwell time for optimal spin and directional control.

Liner Tech
For improved power and comfort
Straight hole grommets elongate the strings to optimize power and comfort on off-center shots.

Vibration Dampening Mesh (VDM)
For added touch and precision
A stretchy mesh material is wrapped around the graphite within the grip to filter unwanted vibrations.
