Ricardas Advances in Roland Garros Qualifiers; Pico Reaches Quarter-Finals in Dusseldorf

May 21st, the second day of this year’s Roland Garros qualifiers, saw the continuation of matches postponed due to adverse weather. The match between YONEX player Ricardas Berankis (EZONE Ai 98PTGSPNSHT-PRO) and Austria’s Martin Fischer was also postponed. The match was cut off in the middle of the third, and deciding set. Ricardas and Fischer hit the clay court again yesterday, with Ricardas coming out on top. Ricardas won the previous day by utilizing break points. The 23-year-old Lithuanian star concluded his match with a final score of 6-4 3-6 6-3 and off to a promising start at this year’s Roland Garros.

YONEX’s EZONE Ai series of rackets, used by Ricardas in his recent qualifying match, have received excellent reviews. In February, the EZONE Ai 100 was selected as the best tennis racquet by Germany’s tennis magazine, Tennis MAGAZIN. Earlier this month Netherland’s tennis magazine, Tennis.nl, selected the EZONE Ai 108 as the winner in a performance test. Testers praised the racquet’s flexibility, and its ability to reduce errors on the court. While good for beginners, pros like YONEX player, Ana Ivanovic (EZONE Ai 98), also use the EZONE Ai to win their big matches.

Meanwhile, at the Dusseldorf Open, defending champion Juan “Pico” Monaco (VCORE Xi 98) reached the quarter-finals. A video of him talking about his performance, and his YONEX VCORE Xi has been uploaded to YouTube.
