On Day 3 of Rakuten Open Japan, Juan Monaco (VCORE Xi 98) standed on the centre court of Ariake Tennis Forest Park to play in the opener. He faced the qualifier Grigor Dimitrov in the match. Last week Juan played in Malaysia to win the title, and he maintains great performance enough to defeat Grigor Dimitrov in straight sets by 6-2, 6-1. Now Juan is playing with the new racquet VCORE Xi 98. According to him, this new racquet gives players more spin. He felt very good at the first try, especially for the spin and control of the forehand shots. We believe that he will win another title in Asia with VCORE Xi. Please keep your eyes on his next round.
Yesterday Juan practiced for about an hour to keep himself in good condition. After the practice, he responded with smiles to requests from many fans for his autograph. He never showed any signs of being tired and communicated with fans full-heartedly.
During this tournament, we display YONEX products and introduce them to visitors. New release model VCORE Xi series is especially highlighted in this YONEX booth, and our staff promote products with wearing VCORE Xi T-shirt.
In the second round of men’s singles, No. 7 seed Stanislas Wawrinka (VCORE Tour 97, SHT308EX) faces Jeremy Chardy this afternoon.
