Newly signed Yonex athlete Steve Johnson (USA) who started this season with VCORE SV 98, has continued to post good results. During the Houston final, Steve displayed not only aggressive play but determination as he overcame intense cramps in the final set to gain him his second title in this season. Also joining Team Yonex this year, Julio Peralta captured the Men’s Doubles title with his partner Horacio Zeballos.

LADIES OPEN BIEL BIENNE (April 8th-16th, 2017. Biel, Switzerland)
In the WTA tour championship, 17-year-old qualifier Marketa Vondrousova claimed the title after defeating higher ranked players one by one. An elbow injury kept the young Czech away from the courts for six months, but she came back to the tour full of energy after changing to POLYTOUR AIR strings. With her victory in Biel Bienne, she is expected to rise from No. 233 in the World ranking up to the top 100.
