In girls’ singles, another young YONEX rising star, Rebecca Sramkova (VCORE Xi 98, PTGSPN) advanced through to the quarterfinals after defeating Margot Yerolymos. Rebecca took the first set by a large margin, and won the second with a comfortable lead. The young Slovakian tennis player managed to make seven break points, taking the match at 6-1 6-4. She will face the Czech Republic’s Marketa Vondrousova in the quarterfinal.
Rebecca is not only having success on the court, but her POLYTOUR SPIN racquet strings also received the gold prize in a performance test from French tennis magazine tennisaddict. The POLYTOUR SPIN was praised for its ability to mix power, control and spin, while remaining balanced. Additionally it was highly ranked for its ability to maintain tension for over ten hours. Both Rebecca’s and Jaume’s racquets are fitted with YONEX strings. Jaume’s POLYTOUR PRO 125 strings are softer, allowing better hold and control on the ball. This makes it perfect for players who want that extra degree of accuracy in their hard hits.
