KITZBUHEL, Austria – Top-seeded Casper Ruud won his 11th-straight match and third ATP title in as many weeks with a three-set victory over Pedro Martinez in the finals of the Generali Open in Kitzbuhel.
“I am shaking all over my body. It feels amazing,” Ruud said after the match. “I was very nervous at the end. I knew what I was playing for. Three in a row is something special. What a day to play the final, rain on and off all day.
Ruud became the first ATP player since 2011 to win three titles in three consecutive weeks. It was Ruud’s fourth title on clay in 2021.
The 22-year-old will move to a career-high ranking of 12.
