Yonex is proud to announce the new and improved EZONE GT Series, including drivers, fairway woods, hybrids and irons to be released mid-March 2020. The EZONE GT series was reimagined from the ground up by the craftsmen at the Yonex Niigata Manufacturing Headquarters to realize new breakthroughs in distance and accuracy.
To realize greater distance, the new EZONE GT series’ irons feature a forged Mighty Maraging Steel face that is 20% stronger than conventional maraging steel, allowing the sweet spot to be expanded through a thinner bottom of the face. A new G-BRID (graphite hybrid) structure behind the face provides a comfortable hitting feeling with a high powerful trajectory, and the V Grind Smart Sole ensures a smoother ball strike, all to help you hit higher and further.
To maximize distance in the drivers, InCore Groove technology introduces grooves on the underside of the crown, the back of the face and in the sole of the club head, designed to help the club head compress and rebound on impact. Additionally, the CNC Vertically Milled Face is precisely milled by a computer-controlled process reducing side spin for straighter drives.
The shafts throughout the series combine Namd* graphite near the kick point, which allows for maximum flex and rapid snapback, with the new graphite M40X* which combines strength with elasticity. By taking advantage of the properties of both materials, the ball is subjected to high repulsion at impact for maximized distance.

* 2 TORAYCA® M40X is a next-generation carbon fiber developed by Toray Industries, Inc. that pursues the balance between conflicting “high strength and high elastic modulus”.
INNOVATION
DRIVER
InCore Groove technology placed in three areas of the club head enhances its ability to compress and rebound for longer drives.
① Crown InCore Groove Technology
Grooves are placed on the underside side of the graphite crown combined with Namd (highlighted in red at right).
This makes it easier for the crown to compress perpendicular to the ball’s flight path and improves the straightness of your drives compared to conventional products.
② Sole InCore Groove Technology
By placing two grooves in the sole, right up against the back of the face, the repulsion property on the lower part of the face is increased, while reducing the weight immediately behind the face, moving the center of gravity back in the club head and expanding the sweet spot, for easier drives across the entire face.

2. The new CNC Vertically Milled face is computer milled for a greater precision than hand polishing. Micro-vertical grooves promote straight ball spin, increasing accuracy. The new face design also helps you visualize the sweet spot.
FAIRWAY WOODS & HYBRIDS
- Like the driver, InCore Groove technology placed in the crown, backside of the face and the sole enhances the club head’s ability to compress and rebound for increased distance.

IRONS
- New Graphite Hybrid Irons feature the new material, Mighty Maraging Steel, a new G-BRID structure and a new design for maximum distance.
2. The “V-shaped smart sole” is a V-shaped version of a wide sole that has a low center of gravity and easily launches the ball. “V Grind Smart Sole” makes impact smoother and allows access to more power for maximum distance.
ALL CLUB SHAFTS
Equipped with new dimension graphite Namd, characterized by high strength and lightness that excels in snapback, and new graphite M40X, which combines strength and elasticity, and is being used for the first time in a golf club. The two carbon fibers combine to convert the impact of the ball into high repulsion, maximizing distance.
