The Golf Digest Hot List covers drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, irons and putters from a wide range of manufacturers. This year’s testers went through roughly 33,000 balls, meticulously testing each and every club to determine if it’s eligible to be listed. Clubs are hit several times, utilizing cutting-edge monitoring technology to help with the analysis. Along with the practical testers, a panel of technical experts looked deeply into the technology of each club. Clubs are then given star ratings out of five in different categories.
As a result of this testing, the EZONE ELITE irons were awarded 4.5/5 stars for their performance, 4.5/5 stars for look/sound/feel, and 4/5 stars for innovation. The clubs were praised for the innovative Octaforce technology on the club face, which lowers the center of gravity and increases flex on all areas of the club face.
The club was described as having “technical horsepower in an appealing shape” and praised as “a reassuring club in your hands when the pressure is on.” One tester commented that the clubs “have a huge sweet spot. Consistent trajectory, too.”
