Yonex US Open Badminton Championships Return to California for 2016

The 2016 Yonex US Open Championships will kick off at the Los Angeles Badminton Club in El Monte, California from July 5-10. As part of the Badminton World Federation’s Grand Prix Gold Series, this major tournament will gather nearly 200 athletes from over 30 countries.



37 of these athletes represent the United States, including top-ranked Phillip Chew, Eva Lee, Paula Obanana, Sattawat Pongnairat, Howard Shu, Jamie Subandhi, and Iris Wang.

Global badminton superstars will also compete in this year’s tournament, with the likes of world ranked #9 Danish duo Mathias Boe (DUORA10) and Carsten Mogensen (DUORA10), fighting for the men’s doubles championship.
