Putting their newly acquired skills to the test, the clinic concluded with singles and doubles matches between the Legends and the juniors. Following that, Chong Wei and Lin Dan faced off against each other for a heated exhibition match. As if to raise the level, all four Legends then took to the court for a very rare doubles match. Exhibiting badminton at its highest level, fans were on the edge of their seats with excitement. The Kings not only exhibited decisive shooting, world-class plays, and lightning speed, but also pulled off impressive fake-outs all while exchanging comments with spectators. Everyone in attendance shared the same expression of awe upon witnessing the four Kings play right before their eyes.
The event also saw an on-stage discussion between the Legends, where they spoke deeply of their passion to broaden badminton’s appeal globally. Lin Dan spoke of his goal to bestow the younger generation with big dreams through his inspiring achievements. Chong Wei offered his vision of demonstrating his best both during training and matches, spreading interest in badminton. Peter conveyed his ambition of expanding and enhancing the scope of badminton to the level of the ATP or PGA. In closing, Taufik expressed his thoughts of globalizing badminton by promoting it in nations where the sport not well known.
