The 2017 Thailand Open Grand Prix Gold saw many Yonex players in action. In singles, Thailand’s Ratchanok Intanon (World No. 8) and fellow countrywoman Busanan Ongbamrungphan (World No. 13) competed against each other in the finals. In recent years Thai players have become stronger in badminton, as Thailand also showed a brilliant performance in last Sudirman Cup, when they overcame Denmark.
