The unseeded Thai star Ratchanok Intanon cruised past World No. 1 Tai Tzu Ying of Taiwan in the finals, and took home the Women’s Singles title after defeating fellow ASTROX 77 player Akane Yamaguchi.
In Men’s Singles, India’s Srikanth Kidambi claimed his second Superseries Premier title of the year after overcoming strong opponents like Viktor Axelsen, the 2017 BWF World Champion and local favorite.
World No. 13 Mixed Doubles pair Tang Chun Man / Tse Ying Suet of Hong Kong claimed the victory over World No. 1 pair Zheng Siwei / Chen Qingchen. Tse Ying Suet, who recently switched to Yonex’s new ASTROX, upset their Chinese opponents with demolishing smashes.
