It is with great pleasure that YONEX Co., Ltd. announces its new partnerships with badminton players Chou Tien Chen and Tsai Chia Hsin. The two shuttlers from Chinese Taipei are their country’s No. 1’s in singles and doubles respectively, having been decorated with a number of accolades throughout their carriers.
Chou Tien Chen recently earned the first Superseries title of his career at the YONEX French Open in October last year. He demonstrated impressive composure in his final match against then-world No. 7 Wang Zhengming, closing out the match with remarkable confidence. Along with this Superseries title, the rising star has also won the Bitburger Open three years in a row. Tien Chen has seen a rapid rise in rank over the past year, beginning 2014 at world No. 27, and ending the year in the Top 10 at world No. 7.
Tsai Chia Hsin is a veteran doubles player with an impressive record, exhibiting fine performance across a number of tournaments. He reached the finals in both the 2014 Australian Open and Singapore Open Superseries, and has stood proudly in the Top 10 throughout the year.
A press conference announcing YONEX’s partnership with the two athletes was held on January 8th, Tien Chen’s birthday, with a celebration also held for the birth of Chia Hsin’s new daughter. “We are confident that thanks to the contributions of these two players, Taiwan will see a large increase in badminton enthusiasts,” commented Nobukazu Ite of YONEX TAIWAN Co., Ltd. in a speech at the conference.
YONEX is delighted to support players who continue to make great strides globally. We put the utmost of effort into providing our players with world-class equipment and support, placing them above the competition. It is our commitment to provide them with an environment that allows them to prosper.
