YONEX TAIWAN was established in 1987 as the
company’s first overseas base. Although there were other potential locations for
a subsidiary, founder Minoru Yoneyama was impressed by the location’s potential
and the qualities of the local people, leading to the establishment of the
company. Located in the industrial outskirts of Taichung City, the
second-largest city in Taiwan, the company operates within an approximately
8,700 square meter area where around 300 employees are dedicated to delivering
Yonex products to the world.

The Making of Yonex Badminton Racquets
01 Carbon Cutting and
Processing
Utilizing multiple cutting machines, the material is precisely cut
and processed into various shapes, specifically tailored to meet the
performance specifications of each racquet.
02 Shaping and Molding
The material is placed within the mold, where it solidifies through
the application of heat and pressure.
03 Drilling
An automatic machine drills holes into the racquet one by one,
following the appropriate string pattern.
04 Assembling
The racquet frame and grip are assembled together through an
automated process. The grip type is adjusted based on the
performance specifications of each racquet.
05 Painting
The racquet undergoes painting through both automated processes by
painting robots and manual application by trained employees.
06 Decal Application
Trained employees manually apply the decals while simultaneously
inspecting the paint condition of the racquet.
07 Leather wrapping
The leather grip is carefully wrapped around the handles, one by
one.
08 Completing the
Racquet
The racquet is packaged and shipped to various countries.
