In a brilliant season for Lin Zhu, 2023 saw her win her first WTA singles title in Hua Hin as well as reach another final in Osaka and put together her deepest run at the Grand Slams, making the fourth round of the Ausralian Open. That was also the season when the Chinese player climbed to No. 31 in the WTA Rankings, her highest position yet.
