Career
Diede de Groot is the most dominant athlete in tennis and perhaps in all sports. With her victory at the 2024 Australian Open, the Dutch wheelchair star won her 13th consecutive Grand Slam singles title. Incredibly, she has achieved the calendar-year Grand Slam – claiming all four majors in a season – three years in a row, and in 2021 she achieved what is known as ‘The Golden Slam’ as she also won the gold medal at the Tokyo Paralympics.
